printing
All photographs printed at Westcoast Pixel Hub are printed on Canon's newest high-resolution Pro-Graph photographic printers. In our print hub, we have the newest A2 printer, the Pro 1100, released onto the market in late 2024, and working beside it when required is the A3+ Pro 300. Both printers can produce high-resolution prints on archival fine art, photographic and speciality papers
We aim to have a large-format printer when the time is right and in the right location to make it all work. It will happen eventually!

We choose to print on Ilford archival quality fine art and speciality papers, and when requested, on Canon's photographic papers

When supplying your images for printing, we prefer JPEG at 250 to 300 PPI, or TIF files are the best option. Ideally, the higher resolution digital images you provide us, the better quality images Westcoast Pixel Hub can print for you

The difference between JPEG and TIFF is that the JPEG format uses lossy compression, meaning that these files reduce picture quality to achieve a smaller, more manageable file size. This makes JPEGs easy to store on a drive, send via email, or move between cloud services. However, during compression, some of the original image data is lost, causing a noticeable loss in picture resolution

Similar to JPEGs, TIFFs are raster graphic files, but this format uses lossless compression to retain image data. This means that TIFF files are generally quite large. They tend to take up a lot of drive space and can be impossible to send via email. However, their high image quality makes them a great choice for formatting any digital editing and print reproduction work. Again, the size of the files can be a negative to the positive image quality aspects of TIFF files

Print Sizes: - we can print A2 - A3+ - A3 - A4 - A5 or a customised size in between. We can also print panorama images from 43cm/17 inches wide up to 3.2m/10.5 feet long

Pricing is per enquiry, and this is because of the different pricing for the different types of papers available through Westcoast Pixel Hub (Please refer to additional information as a reference point)

Please note: Pricing and other details will be confirmed by correspondence or in person
Pricing also depends on the type and size of paper chosen - for example, A5 ($25-$45), A4 ($25-$45), A3/A3+ ($30-$65), A2 ($45-$90)

We aim to be the best print service we can be, and each day, we grow to be better than yesterday by learning from printing our own photographic images!
