Camera

I still vividly recall the thrilling day I unboxed and set up my very first DSLR camera, a Canon 70D, in 2013! Attaching the 17-40mm F4 lens and flipping the power switch filled me with excitement, even though I had no clue what I was doing. Making the leap from a point-and-shoot to a professional camera was quite the adventure!

Living in a small town on the stunning South Island of New Zealand, I didn't have many fellow photographers to turn to for help, but that only fueled my desire to learn!

Countless hours were spent learning through trial and error, diving into books and online guides, and investing in gear I thought I "needed"—most of which turned out to be unnecessary

Today, the variety of cameras, lenses, and accessories available is mind-blowing! Even your phone can snap photos worthy of competition!

During my time working at Noel Leeming in New Zealand, I loved sharing my knowledge about cameras and gear with customers, understanding the excitement and uncertainty that comes with purchasing new equipment.

If you're looking for someone to chat with about your camera, lens, and gear options, or if you need guidance with your current kit, I'm here for you!

For a small fee, I offer in-person sessions that are perfect for beginners and even intermediate photographers who are eager to enhance their skills.

Let's connect over gear, setup, and photography techniques regardless of the brand you use! It’s a fantastic opportunity for mentoring and sharing insights drawn from my own experiences!
